Getting started
- Set up a family: sign in with Apple, choose Set up a family, name it and add the people you live with. Then invite them by text message or e-mail, or let them scan the family's QR code.
- Join a family: tap the invite link you got, or choose Join a family and type or scan the family code. The person who set up the family is asked to allow you.
- Add things: tap + on any tab to add a plan, a task, a list or a check-in. You can also type as you'd say it ("Football for Julie Tuesday 18:30") or scan a school plan.
Common questions
Does everyone need an iPhone?
ÆttHQ is for iPhone and uses iCloud to share the family. Everyone who uses the app needs an Apple Account. Children without a phone can still be in the family, so their plans and pickups show for everyone.
Where is our data kept?
In the iCloud of the person who set up the family, shared only with the family. See the privacy policy.
Changes don't reach the others.
Check that everyone is online and signed in to iCloud. If the iCloud of the person who set up the family is full, ÆttHQ says so; free up space or get more storage under Settings › your name › iCloud.
The family code doesn't work.
Codes expire after 48 hours. Ask the person who set up the family to make a new one under More › Invite.
Scanning or suggestions get something wrong.
Both are in beta. You always see what was found before anything is added, so you can fix or skip it. Examples of documents that are read badly help a lot; send them to us if you can.
How do I stop sharing my location?
On the Map, tap + › Live location and turn it off, or turn Location off for ÆttHQ in the iPhone's Settings.
How do I delete our data?
Deleting the app removes what's on your iPhone. To delete the family's data from iCloud, go to Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › ÆttHQ › Delete Data.
Delete your account and data
- In ÆttHQ, open More (your picture at the top) › Account and about.
- Tap Delete account and data and confirm.
This deletes your data from your iPhone and from iCloud, and ends ÆttHQ's use of Sign in with Apple. If you set up the family, the whole family is deleted, for everyone in it, and the confirmation names who is affected. If you joined someone else's family, you leave it, and your check-ins, posts and your place in it are deleted. iCloud has to be reachable: if it isn't, nothing is deleted and you can try again.
No longer have the app? Delete the iCloud data in the iPhone's Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › ÆttHQ › Delete Data, and stop using your Apple Account with ÆttHQ in Settings › your name › Sign in with Apple.
